Do you need the V-PRO mobo? You might be able to save money by getting the V or V-LX unless there's certain features you're looking for.

Looks like a very good build - but , it depends on what games you want to play & at what settings & fps (frames per second) , i would say it can hadle more or less anything at 30fps with possibly high settings - but if your looking for "ultra" settings & "60 FPS" then i would say you need a bigger GPU - but this all depends on exactly what sort of games you want to play.

Hope this helps :)

Thanks for everything. So looking for a system costing around a grand, which is reasonably future-proof and will handle most games. Diablo 3, Heart of the Swarm, the inevitable next X-universe game (god help me), BF, wow, swtor and such like. So any suggestions on the graphics card?

Nice build ,consider upgrading hard drive to a caviar black,& as mentioned by Lady0sheep you could down grade the motherboard. As far as gaming goes get the best graphics card you can afford, also dont forget silver warranty for £5.I upgraded the PSU so you can add another 570 in future if you so wish. For a grand I would go for something like this.

Both great builds , i would have a hard time chosing between these two myself.

Both vanthus & bg92 have put a lot of thought in to these 2 builds

Whatever one you buy i dont think you would be disapointed . :)
