Apple has displaced Oracle as the company with the most security vulnerabilities in its software, according to security company Secunia. Over the first half of 2010, Apple had more reported flaws than any other vendor. Microsoft retains its third-place spot. Secunia has tracked security vulnerabilities and issues advisories since 2002, producing periodic reports on the state of software. Together, the top ten vendors account for some 38% of all flaws reported.

well the vid is an Apple advert, which is basically misleading.

Macs get virus' and Apple software is like swiss cheese. They just harp on about being secure as there is not much point in writing malicious codes for Mac. Why infect 5 people when you can write one for windows and infect 5 million.

It was the same argument Firefox had. I dont know about now but back when it first came out they argued it was a lot safer to use... which it was. But not because their code was better or anything but because people were writing viruses for IE as it was more popular...

any computer can get a virus and its not down to what anti virus you have or don't have or if its a PC or mac - its all down to the person sat behind the keyboard clicking the mouse wildly on snything they get sent and not keeping the system up to date, they are just no virus's/ very few for the mac as its a smaller platform and out of reach due to costs so it does not have a million script kiddies writing loads of junk for it.
