I ordered my Optimus V laptop without an OS as I had a spare Windows 7 64-bit licence, but the driver disk Clevo provide for this model says the OS isn't supported when you use the program that automatically runs when you put the CD in. If you browse the CD though you can find all the drivers files and the following will work straight off the CD for Windows 7:
For Audio goto to VIA's website and download from there http://www.viaarena.com/Driver/v10_1200a.zip
With the WiFi, even though I have given the location of the Setup.exe, I didn't use this, I used Device Manager to install the drivers from (Options\01_WLAN\Intel\Win7Plus\Win64\Drivers\Win7), this way you don't get stuck with Intel's WiFi management software and you can use Windows built in one (which I prefer)
The Hotkey software that comes with the CD is Windows 8 only (will install on Win 7 but won't work), so I went and got the Hotkey software for the Optimus IV, unfortunately PC Specialist's site seems to only give drivers linked to the products you have bought, so I went to Clevo's site and downloaded it from there (the Optimus IV is a Clevo W350ET). Goto http://www.clevo.com.tw/en/e-services/download.asp and under Model select W35xET/W37xET Series, and under Driver select ALL, press GO and you see a load of driver downloads and one will say: OTHERS Hotkey driver for Windows 7. Hotkey.zip, download this and away you go. It's only v6 of the Hotkey software, and the one on the CD is v8 so it may not look the same but at least it works with Windows 7.
For the LAN drivers I got them direct from Realtek as it is a RTL8168/8111, and you can get the driver from this page http://www.realtek.com.tw/DOWNLOADS/downloadsView.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=13&PFid=5&Level=5&Conn=4&DownTypeID=3 this way you get a choice of just the driver or the full install program.
And finally the USB 3.0 controller, I got the driver direct from Intel http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support/highlights/sftwr-prod/usb3ehcd
There were 32-bit drivers available on the CD as well, and these should work fine for 32-bit Win7, but obviously for the 64-bit version I didn't use these so I can't guarantee they will work.
I hope this helps anyone else who decided to follow the same route I did.
