Awesome Optimus V power!!

Had my new Optimus V 13.3 now for just over a week and i have to say that i started out as worried when first building and then ordering.
I haven't used PC Specialist before but read a lot of reviews and was impressed on pretty much anything i read.

When building i had only one thing in mind and that was "how much power could i get into a proper 'grab with one hand and out the door' portable gaming machine", I have a good setup at home but wanted something that i could go to my mates with and play pretty much anything we wanted on decent settings.
I was worried about how much heat would be generated in the small chassis given that a 765M and an i7 4900MQ was going in but I have to say i'm more than pleasantly surprised!
Not only is heat not an issue (even without cooling pad) but the performance is incredible for such a small machine having to cope with demanding titles. DayZ (which is in a horrible power and gpu sucking Alpha mode currently), Starcraft 2, Diablo 3, ESO and Max Payne 3 all on max/Ultra/extreme settings with a n FPS of 30+.

So i'm well pleased with that side of it, it confirmed that you can really have a netbook sized, fully fledged gaming machine and all for just over £1,300 which is so awesome!!

Looking at the service side of things, again, i can't fault PC specialist. The laptop was built in 16 days, i've got it on interest free finance for 12 months, i had updates through out building process and easy to access software downloads, i knew who built it, tested it, signed it off, it was delivered in one day and had text messages saying it was in the truck being delivered in a time frame of one hour ! (never had that before with anything else as standard?) and then another telling me it had been signed for. I can't find any hole to give constructive criticism on. I kind of wanted an issue (a small one!) so i could give them something to improve but there isn't unfortunately.

It does obviously mean that i will be using them again in the future, i will be wanting to upgrade my gaming desktop at some point in the next 12 months so PC specialist will be my first stop.

Cheers guys, great business you have here!!

Glad to hear you got your machine with no problems. Nice to see people coming back to leave positive reviews once in a while.

You could upload the photos to imageshack or some other photo hosting site and just use the forum link provided to post here.

Hi, I'm thinking about getting one of these so I can get my gaming on, I was wondering what configuration did you get yours in?

Cheers!
