Htpc video

Just received my HTPC today and i'm having a few problems. I assumed that connecting the HTPC via Hdmi to my tv would work but its not. Now before I go out and purchase some other cables i want to make sure that im buying the right cable. Here's my spec

I think i need to get a mini hdmi cable to connect to the tv from the graphics card instead of hdmi from the motherboard, am i right?

Just to clarify, you say it's not working at the moment - was that when trying to connect via HDMI from the motherboard to the TV?

If so the graphics card is overriding the integrated graphics and you're correct, you need an mHDMI to HDMI, either a cable or in the form of an adapter, connected from the graphics card to the TV.

For the time being there will probably be an option in the BIOS to use the integrated graphics as default - but probably easier to get the cable sorted. :)

I just did some tinkering and disconnected the graphics card now i got video and atleast i can have a play around with it till the wife comes back so i can go get a mHdmi cable.
