I recently ordered a small monster from PCSpecialist, and I would like to share my experiences with it. My native language is not English, so please keep this in mind if you notice any language-related issue with the review.
I wanted a machine to use it generally a little for everything. A little programming, a little gaming, and of course every day general usage. We are living in a small apartment currently and I don't really have an "office room", so I wanted something small to make it able to transport easily.
This is why I ordered a 13.3 Optimus V.
Delivery:
The machine was ready after 15 working days, and it arrived to Ireland in 2 days after dispatch. They weren't used my 3rd line of address so there was a little confusion, but a phone call solved everything and I got the little one. The package was big and protective, the laptop arrived in one piece.
Setup:
The setup was quick and easy. The SSD was the primary drive, the trial windows was on it with everything installed. I had only one problem, the secondary HDD was not recognized by the system, but uninstalling it from the device manager solved the problem, from there it was recognized and was working fine.
Screen:
I am using the machine in the last 10 days and I don't have any issues yet. The screen is beautiful, the IPS panel worth it. The Full HD resolution is just perfect, I don't miss the QHD and I'm glad I choose the matt screen instead of the glossy. The colors are great, but I'm not working with Photoshop, or any kind of graphics, so in this sense I'm only a regular end user.
Performance:
The i7 quad core processor and the 860M GPU worth the price. I'm not using it for the latest games but I don't think there would be any problem. I already tried LoL, CS:GO, UFO: Enemy Unknown, Dragon Age, and all running perfectly with high details.
Conclusion:
I am very happy with the purchase. Its arrived reasonably quickly, and I think for the price it's a powerhouse. Of course sometimes the cooler is louder, but I'm still happy, because I didn't had any problem with the temperature. Of course I'm using it only around 10 days, so this could change, but I hope it will not.
