Rugby World Cup 2003.

I followed every game, right to the final.

I still remember that kick like it was yesterday. The final was just an incredible game of rugby.

I still have the newspaper clipping :)

Usain bolt smashing the world record at the Olympics while only running 60m or Michael Johnson with the weirdest run winning the 400m by almost 100m.
Damn I can't pick.

All my football ones are sad not good. Euro 96 and on lol. Liverpool nearly winning the league twice :(

Seeing Stenhousemuir beat St Johnstone 4-0 in the Scottish Cup, it was part of an amazing run for us. Adrian Sprott earned us a reply by scoring direct from a corner in the last minute at McDiarmid Park and the reply was the first and one of the few times I have had to queue to get into Ochilview. We went on to beat Aberdeen 2-0 in the next round and that was a bigger win in terms of seeing off a Premier Division team but the Saints game was amazing as we completle outplayed a side from a division above us.

I love the Olympics so its stuff like...

Steve Redgrave winning his 5th gold in the Sydney Olympics of 2000.
Chris Hoy just managing to hold on for his 6th gold at London 2012
Usain bolt running a world record while slowing down at the end of the race

Also Silverstone 2008, first F1 race I ever attended live. Conditions were atrocious, didn't realise at the time until I watched the race back just how brilliant a drive it was from the winner who nearly lapped everyone.

Oh yeah and vettel winning his first world championship, placed a cheeky bet on him winning it before the season started, something like 30/1 if I remember rightly, and he went into the last race something like 18 points behind, so he need a win and alonso to finish outside the top 8 or whatever. it only went and happened, which was epic.

London 2012 has to be my recent favourite, saw the 10m diving finals and a couple athletic events. Fantastic atmosphere, something that we should aspire to more as a country.

Less recently, League 2 Champions (2002) Plymouth Argyle, with a record points haul to boot.

Being at the MGM Grand watching 2 Mexican's, Barrera and Morales knocking ten bells out of each other. I think that out of the 15,000 watching we were the only 2 non-Mexicans!

I had a similar experience in Las Vegas 1992. I got 'walked' into the stadium by a guy with a 'spare' press pass (cost me $100). Once inside I had to return the pass and try to find a seat. I was at a bar under the stands and saw a lady customer I knew from the casino I was working in at the time. She said there were empty seats by her (unclaimed complimentary $700 seats!). I sat there and watched Julio Cesar Chavez and Hector 'Macho' Camacho go the distance.

There was some tequila drunk in the bars that night!!

That's mine too for professional sport.

My favourite moment playing sport myself was 5 years ago playing rugby for school, ran half the length of the pitch with about 3 people holding on to me trying to bring me down. I scored under the posts.

Hopfully you won't have too much to celebrate this season at my club (Morton) expense!! Always like seeing the smaller clubs beating the 'big guns' mind you.

My best memory could be one of a few, I've seen quite a few with my team Greenock Morton. It could be winning the 3rd division title on the last day of the season in 2002-03 with 8,500 in the ground! It beat 2 SPL games for attendance that day! Reason why it was so memorable for me is that we were literally hours away from going into liquidation a season or 2 before so it was a massive lift for everybody and we hold the record for being the first Scottish professional club to enter a formal administration period (a fact that might help somebody in a pub quiz one day ;) )

We also beat Kilmarnock after going a goal behind in the scottish cup 3-1 in 2007 and Only last year we beat Celtic at Parkhead in the league cup! A fantastic memory for me especially as we were written off (and rightly so we ended up relegated last season) by everyone. Was a fantastic night that i'll not forget in a hurry!

I do not think you will have much to worry about judging by our performance Saturday, losing to Brora 3-1 in the Challenge Cup. The only thing that made the 12-hour round trip by train bearable was a visit to Clynelish distilery.

If you pop into the Wee Bar at Ocilview for a pre-match pint say hello. I should be easy to spot, their are not many regulars in there who speak with a Gloucestershire accent :)

mine would be when England won the ashes 2 - 1 in 2005, one of the best test series ever played with so many cool memories.

Easy peasy....England winning the World Cup in 1966. Watched it (on TV). Tore my hair out during it. Aged an extra 10 years. Magic.

First time at Old Trafford. Man U vs Leicester 2003, Gary Neville scored the only goal of a terrible terrible match that ended 1-0.

It was my first time there though

Seeing McGregor starch Aldo in one punch was something too

November 2006. Always to be remembered thanks to THAT Nakamura free kick in the eightieth minute, pick that one out of the onion bag! And in the dying seconds the holy goalie saves a penalty from Louis Saha. What a night.

Welcome to Paradise, Mancs 😛

Honourable mention to the entirety of Italia ‘90, that tournament made me fall in love with football.
