I would like to start off by saying that this is an excellent laptop and the best one I have ever had, thank you PC Specialist.

In the past I have always got my laptops from PC World and stuck to brands like Compaq and HP. It wasn't until I became more tech savvy and understood the different components in a PC and Laptop that I realised what I was buying was low tech laptops at a price too high for what was in them. What I’m basically saying is don’t be like everyone else and fall into the trap of going to these big retailers and buying safe because you are none the wiser. Do some research and buy what you need, heck you could even get more performance, memory, storage etc. for what you pay for a low quality laptop using PC Specialist.

Now onto the actual laptop. It may not look like much but it sure does perform and it has wowed me with just how fast it is. It is quite a chunky laptop and it doesn't look particularly modern but those are just gimmicks anyway. You need space to put the tech if you want the performance. The i7 processor is very fast and coupled with a SSD you are looking at start up in mere seconds. All applications and documents saved to the SSD open super-fast too.

I have played SWTOR on this laptop on ultra-settings and the FPS count levels at around 58. However it will probably struggle to play games like Crysis 3 and BF4 on ultra but this is not a top range gaming laptop so you shouldn't expect this to run them games on ultra. The actual laptop does not get too hot when playing games. You should look at the NVIDIA GTX 860M benchmarks on their website if you want to know more about how it will handle games. I got this laptop with the chosen specs as I wanted a high performer, without straying too far into the gaming range, which will last me many years and give me the best computer experience I have had to date.
Other reviewers have said the speakers aren't that great. However using the Sound Blaster Cinema software provided makes a big difference in audio quality and volume. You may need to install this yourself using the driver software CD provided.

I don’t write many reviews so wasn't sure what to say. I hope it was helpful. I will answer any questions as soon as I can if you have any. I added a second SSD and second stick of RAM myself to reduce monthly costs. So the Laptop has 240 GB of SSD storage, minus OS installation space, along with 8GB of RAM.
