We are pleased to announce the launch of our new super-cool 13.3" notebook which features a full HD IPS 10-point multi-touch screen housed in an stylish brushed aluminium chassis. Not only that, but the hinge design means you can turn the screen right around to use this laptop as a tablet or FHD movie player.

Just to add - the images are showing the US International keyboard layout, but naturally we will supply UK by default with US International optional.

This is probably a silly question... but does the laptop's keyboard / track pad switch off when you rotate the screen past 180 degrees?

Looks very cool though!

Yeah the keyboard disables automatically.

Is there any information available about battery life (With the i5/i7 varients), chassis type, build quality and speaker quality?

My last experience with PCSpecialist wasn't great but I need a portable laptop & this initially looks pretty nice.

What sort of problems did you experience? I think you have 14 working days to send it back if you are unhappy with it. I haven't seen any reviews for it since it has just been released

The build quality is truly excellent, it's full brushed metal top/bottom and middle covers. We are performing a battery test today so should have some feedback tomorrow. The speakers are equally as good as the speakers offered on the other models we sell. You are welcome to order this and return it for a full refund within 14 days of receipt if it is not suitable - providing that you return it in the exact same brand new quality that you receive it (i.e. no scratches, dints or damage) and in original packaging.

I've been looking for a decent portable laptop with a FHD screen, this might fit the bill. One question though, what's the weight/size of the power supply? My Vortex IV 180w supply is a brick (which is to be expected), I assume the 40w Sigma is a lot smaller?

Hi, random question but is it possible to lift the lid with one hand without having to place the other hand on the base of the laptop?

This looks like a very interesting piece of kit.

Does this fold all the way around so the back of the screen is flat against the bottom of the keyboard, when it is used as a tablet?

Will you be putting up a video of the Sigma? I think this is a product that would most definitely benefit from a video to really showcase its flexibility.

It does indeed.

We will have a new video shortly.

The video has now been uploaded, hope this helps demonstrate the flip capabilities of the laptop. :)

Is it a hardware limitation that stops the sigma from working in portrait mode as a tablet?

I have seen other windows 8 convertibles that can be used in portrait mode (lenovo yoga for example) so windows 8 must be able to do it.

Unfortunately, the Sigma does not support the hardware orientation toggle - the button is there and I'm to assume the laptop manufacturer (Lengda) intended to add this as an option, but was not offered to us.

The only way to flip this orientation would be within Windows. It's possible to do this via a short-cut: CTRL+ALT+[ARROW KEY] - Failing that, you would have to get software or create a script file to be able to do it.
