Hi

I've given up trying to phone, they simply aren't being answered.

I was supposed to be sent a DVD drive as mine failed. This is 3 months on now and no dvd drive. I need someone to call me to tell me what's going on.
Also, I need to reinstall the drivers for the video card, the wireless adapter and the card reader. Generic ones from the web won't work for whatever reason and of course I can't use the disks I was given because my dvd drive has been broken for 3 months.
So I need to be emailed or told where to download the exact drivers I need.

Hiya Gary, just to let you know I have removed your email from the post since the thing that it's most likely to do is get you spammed - do note that although the PCS staff do visit the forums, they are not always checking them and the forums are not an official channel for support, you really need to use phone, email, live chat or the messaging system from your account on the main PCS website.
Some of the forum members may be able to help with the drivers issues though.

Hi Mate no worries I use disposable emails most of the time anyway, but I appreciate the heads up cos I thought this was an official forum.

I rang today and after 15 full minutes got through and got disconnected within 1 minute. 2 more tries and I could not get through after some major waits.
I email and get no response yet. This has been going on for months. Totally fed up and tbh I think the only solution now is go down their offices and kick off like a maniac cos that's the only way these days that some firms get their ars in gear and sort things out.

I am soooooooo fed up of this computer and PC specialist supposed-support, you truly have no idea :(

I'm sorry to hear that, feel ya pain. Have you tried the webchat? I don't know why the telephones are so bad, but it's worth trying the webchat for a quick response.

Do you have USB ports on your PC? If so get a friend to copy all the drivers from the PCS supplied DVDs to USB sticks and then install the correct drivers from there.

Yeah thanks ubuysa but sadly I'm on holiday in Scotland right now. I can't even find a web cafe lol
No worries I'm sure PC-S will sort it soon.

Well that sucks for you but I can say that I've phoned them several times over the past two weeks and used the message form from my account several times also and each time they've answered the phone or responded to the message quickly.

This morning I was on hold for maybe 2-3 minutes at about 9.07 am so maybe it's just bad luck with the times you've tried calling?

Mordant it perhaps was just bad luck, but I think when you're unhappy about specific events and the reaction to them that bad luck just seems to compound things you know.
I 've just posted a very long post which puts everything into perspective.
