Limited Budget Gaming PC

Hey guys,

I am looking to buy a decent gaming desktop computer for between £500-£600. I know it isn't the highest budget so i am not expecting miracles but i would like to be able to play the latest games on either high or ultra settings. I have created what i think is a decent computer although it may be a little unbalanced, if anyone could offer improvements or recommendations that would be perfect, i am a bit of a novice when it comes to hardware so i fully expect to have made some rookie errors.

Thanks for all your recommendations, I chose the higher grade processor in a hope that I may keep It relatively high spec for at least a few years, but I do see the sense in getting a better graphics card, as for the operating system, I have my own genuine copy of Win 7 I will be installing.

Could this be a solution, grabbing the AMD 8350 CPU and still keeping the Graphics card that Mantadog suggested. Is just about £600 and I cant see any issues with it.

Georgehiller's spec has a better cpu, an i5 would be better than the FX-8350

I think I'll go with that then, like I said I am a novice when it comes to hardware, and so I will listen to the experts :), thanks guys for your help, has been very appreciated

Yeah, the i5 is better in most situations, but definitely better for gaming :)

It's possible to get this exact build cheaper if you swap the 450W PSU to a 350W PSU at £563. A computer I'm considering as my next one myself.

I wouldn't. Recommended PSU from nvidia is 400w and by sticking with a cheap psu you are limiting any future upgrades. I would go with a 550w psu to have the option of upgrading the gpu in a few years.

Ah yes of course, my mistake. Didn't look at the gpu requirements. I don't mind spending an extra few quid to put in a better one.
