Why is my resolution so blurry!? Help :(

My laptop arrived today and I downloaded all the windows update thingies etc. My specs are

Basically when I'm on the internet browsing and watching twitch steams the colours are very faded and look at things its very blury and smudged (I dont know how to explain this but its defiantly not HD)

any ideas how to fix this? really appreciate the help

What OS do you have installed?

If it's windows 8 then there's a fix to it, one of the options messes up resolutions sometimes and it has to be turned off.

Do you mean text is blurry or the whole display?

If it's just text of some Windows then it's DPI scaling, check out this Microsoft support article.

If it's the whole display it could be that the resolution isn't set to the native resolution of the screen. Right click on the desktop background somewhere and select "Screen resolution" from the drop down menu. Make sure the resolution is set to the highest that it can be - that will be the native resolution of the screen.

If it's neither of those then I'm out of ideas.

Yes the text is blury. How do I fix this i cant find anything
