New desktop PC spec - advice needed

Can anyone suggest a spec for a new desktop PC?

Budget will be up to £600. It will not be used much for gaming, just browsing the internet and the usual office stuff. Also running python scripts, MS Access macros etc and maybe some website development.

I don't care if it is Intel or ADM (what would people recommend)?

The main thing will be to 'future proof' it so I won't need to replace it for a number of years.
