Gaming PC help!

Plan to build a decent gaming PC, know very little about PC's but wanted to move from consoles to PC for ages. So I customized a Desktop earlier and wondered if this would be a decent set-up, not looking for something to run 4K just something that's above average. So would much appreciate feedback and any improvements I could make.

Is it just for gaming? Is it the full spec? Can't see how the spec you posted is £2000. For £2000 I would expect a system that runs a 4k screen. The morherboard is massively overkill, cpu you have chosen is not required for gaming

I wanted to use for everyday use so just a fast desktop, I also wanted it to be good at gaming. I didn't include on there the Office license but that's pretty much all i took off. What motherboard would you recommend? Also what CPU should I have? Basically I want a really fast desktop that is also good for gaming. Like I said I know nothing about specs for computers so if you could help it would be appreciated

For home use the cpu and motherboard you have chosen won't make a difference in performance. The spec below will allow you to add a 2nd gpu in the future.

You can check benchmarks online for the gtx 970, it will run recent games at high settings

Okay, thanks so much for the help, just one last thing, could you recommend any decent monitors to go with this set up.
