Hi, I haven't had much luck with the built in wifi on the ASUS® P8Z77-V it drops out all the time and was wondering if I could install one of these TP-LINK TL-WDN3800 N600 Wireless Dual Band PCI Express Adapter and if so do I need to disable the built in wifi on the motherboard.

Thanks

Looking at it it should definitely fit as my motherboard has some PCI E ports so its just a question of if the built in wifi will interrupt it?

You can disable the on board adapter in device manager.

It shouldn't be a problem having two wifi adapters, as long as they're not both connected at the same time (although even then you probably won't notice). If you don;t plan to use the old one though it would be wise to disable it as SpyderTracks says, just to be sure.

I have two wifi adapters and it's not an issue.
