Dell Inspiron 3847 Tower PC (Black) - (Intel Core i5-4460 3.2 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce GT 705 1 GB Graphics, 8 GB RAM, 1 TB HDD, Windows 8.1) £450.00

Could I get some quick advice on which you think would be a better purchase please?

I'm getting the Inspiron for £450.00 which is apparently a special price, from a supplier at work. I will also upgrade the Inspiron to 16 GB RAM from work at no expense. I don't care for HDD space, I have a couple of ReadyNAS boxes.

I haven't got much experience in purchasing Desktops nor would I want to build one. I've narrowed down my search to these two, my budget £450 has been met also. Please consider the brand as well, I'll be using this Desktop for around 5 years hopefully.

Hi unfortunately we are not permitted to give advice on competitor PC builds (you're also not allowed to link to competitor sites, which is why I removed your links). If you've got your heart set on one of those you might find good advice on forums like Toms Hardware etc. Alternatively I'm sure if you're interested someone could spec a PCS build for you to look at here?

Thanks for removing the links, I'd still like some advice on these two Desktops though if possible. Any advice on either of these welcome, thanks.

As Steaky said, we can't advise on competitor builds, for advice on those towers you may want to head to Tom's Hardware which is an open forum.

Coming here is like asking a vegetarian how they would like their meat cooked. How would we know, we buy from PCS.
