Hi
Firstly i would like to say i have no idea what happened to my first post, it appears to be blank?

Anyway i am looking to but a new rig as my current one is around 6 years old and getting a bit long in the tooth, i mainly use my pc for video/picture editing both dvd & HD inc Burning, my current set up really struggles with processing HD clips so i am looking for something that will carry out these tasks with ease.

i currently don't play that many games but plumbed for a fairly decent graphics card (i think?) so that if things change in the future ill be covered.

Also i have put down for windows 8.1 but to be honest i may well wait for windows 10 and have everything new (plus i dont like windows 8.1!)

My budget is between £1500 - £2000

Here is my current set up and below is my possible new one, please can you let me know if i have gone to far with anything or not far enough in some cases..

Many Thanks

Pete

Please could someone take a look at this?

Thank you.

are you overclocking the cpu? i wouldn't get the velociraptor, it is an overpriced hard drive that won't give you any noticeable improvement in performance compare to the caviar black

I may well overclock at a later date but not first off, I'll change the hard drive on the quote.

Anything else you can see?

Thanks

I have now changed the hard drive, went for another caviar but upped it to 1TB. Any other suggestions or does the set up look ok?

Thanks

Hi
i have to say i'm quite disappointed with the lack of comments on this, i was really hoping that there were some experts that could assist me, so that i don't go wasting a lot of hard earned money, yes the pc is expensive but i have saved up hard and like i said i don't want to throw money away unnecessarily.

Please can someone take a quick look and just let me know their thoughts on this spec?

Many Thanks

Pete

Hi Peter,
Apart from the comments made I think It is a good system in my view. You have to keep in mind the majority of users in the forum do not work for PCS, you could try to contact the sales support over the phone as well.

Thanks Keynes, maybe I'll drop them an email as can't really talk at work.

I've also joined Tom's Hardware forum so hoping I might get a response from there.
