My PC Specialist PC is not booting

Turned the machine on and got as message saying all the bios settings had gone.

I rebooted the machine after selecting bios defaults and now it goes to the windows start screen then boots back to Asus bios start screen and hangs.

I've tried replacing the battery but I'm guessing I need to configure the bios. Where can I find details on how to this for my spec?

If the PC boots to windows then restarts though I wouldn't have said it was a config error in the bios necessarily. Does it do this repeatedly (ie if you hard reset after it hangs will it boot to windows, restart and hang again)?

There's a simple one to check in the BIOS, if AHCI is set or if it's now defaulted to IDE, if it was on IDE, that would explain a blue screen on boot causing a restart back to the BIOS.
