Graphics card suitable for 2560 X 1440 resolution

*I'm about to order a desktop PC with an ASUS Z97-P motherboard and an NVIDIA GEFORCE 720 graphics card.

My choice of monitor is either a BenQ GW2765HT, which has a resolution of 2560 X 1440, or an ASUS PB248Q which has a resolution of 1920 X 1200. Will the NVIDIA 720 give those resolutions or will I need a different graphics card? I want the higher resolution for personal photographic work only not for gaming.

Whilst on this subject what is the best connection to use please? Thanks

Hello Trevor,

If your not using it for gaming then the 720 GPU should be fine at the higher resolution.

My favorite connection is Displyport which i beleive the BenQ GW2765HT has after that probibly DVI or HDMI.

Hope this helps

Hi Smoke,

Thanks for your reply. I don't know much about this aspect of PCs, so can you tell me if the higher resolution is detected automatically by the hardware through its link or whether it's a setting that one can choose please? Thanks,

regards,
Trevor
