i order'd mine on the 1st here i am 18th, and 2 phone calls later cc telling me it would enter build yesterday or today, and i hate to say still showing pre production, day 21, i spoke to luke and he assured me as i am trying to gauge my kid to be home to receive, and all i can get is "we are very busy". i payed via my card woosh not to busy to do that part....... now with all due respect one pays the money and respects a custom build needs a little space to work but theres a cut off point where, gateway fell short and went bust, supply and demand, outpaced the company, bust gone, its like this, someone collects the parts, puts in a plastic tub, next a guy puts, max 8 nuts in a motherboard and facia plate, next guy, a processor, next memory man, next optional graphics card, myself i could build one blind folded in 5 mins, the hard part is waiting on said build to install software drivers etc, and a burn test of 3 days, lets add 3 guys to that task. thats your basic assembly line, a quick and often time and study, weed out mr slack arse, or is it that indeed fast track is given priority to force one to get upset and pay that extra, well as i said i can build it myself and ill be cancelling tomorrow. will they care probably not. school off life, imagine now you have a problem, are you feeling great about customer care?... and pc specialist, 3 weeks and still not built.

now before someone goes off on one, and comes back with a half arsed reply, this company has a problem, and its the delivery times, the issue people is timing, now if its due to parts not available well don't they kinda need to tell the customer that, can we accommodate adjust, its a biggy, and it needs addressing, and someones slacking, people are people and people trend to slide into habits, and habits go from an advertised "usually <1 week" to 21 days then me thinks some shake up required, am i wrong well just look at 99% of all asks, its about delivery times.

If you order on the 1st it would be 13 working days so far. No one is forcing anyone to pay for fast track, some people are more patient than others. When you accepted the t&c it stated that it could take up to 30 working days.

or some people need to just be patient, is the system perfect? no but expecting delivery for a system quick and complaining about the service after accepting the t&c seems unreasonable. If you are unhappy with the service then you should use the appropriate channels of communication.

We've all been there, we all know what waiting for your new PC/laptop/all-in-one is like. If components are not in stock it takes longer than you'd wish. It's a horrible time of vain hopes and the odd disappointment. Personally I think it's a mistake for PCS to publish the status of builds, it just disappoints people when they log on the next day to find they're still in pre-production.

My Optimus IV is now over 18 months old (and still performing beautifully by the way) and the time I wasted logging on to check progress during the build and fretting over how long it seemed to be taking seems silly now I'be been enjoying using it for 18 months. I'm not belittling the anxiety you're feeling, I shared it, but in the big scheme of things it's a mere drop in the ocean. When you have your new rig you'll forget all that time wasting instantly. I promise. :)

Stop moaning about it and be patient. Your computer will be ready when it's ready. Full Stop !!
