Hi there guys.

Ive recently ordered a PC from PCSpecialist and it should arrive sometime next week (fingers crossed)
its got a single 980ti so i know i could be pushing 1440p but i work and game with 1080p so for now I'm sticking to that.

my main issue is deciding between TN and IPS monitors.
i will be purchasing 2x monitors.

I mainly video edit/stream and game
Games: World of warcraft/Assassin Creed/open world games/Call of Duty

i've looked at the ASUS MX259H/ Dell U2414H / ASUS VG248QE / ASUS VN247H / DELL S2340L (100's more been looking for the last 3 days.)

I love vibrant colours anything that looks pale is just a big NO.
I went to see an AOC IPS screen and the matte coating made it look dull. I don't know if thats the same for all.

if someone with experience or pictures of their displays could provide some advice i would greatly appreciate it.

THANKYOU!

Tis a shame you're not going 1440p with 6gb of vid memory.
I'd go with an IPS. TN can be noticeably more dull but tends to give you faster response times. It's my understanding that Asus comes pre-calibrated from the factory and Dell's customer support is top notch. I've own multiple displays from both companies in the past with little to no issues.

If you could throw in a general budget then we could narrow your options a bit more but if you were to go with an Dell then go with an Ultrasharp rather than an S2. Say, a U2412M for example.

Thanks for the quick reply.

I would love to go 1440p but i video edit in 1080p and stream in 1080p so for now i think it makes sense for me to stick to a 1080p monitor and in the future upgrade to a 1440p monitor.
Overall i'm looking for a very vibrant monitor which works well for a gaming monitor.

I've looked at both the Dell U2414H and the S2415H online and I just found because of the matte coating it looked a little dull but obviously that could be purely due to it being an image online and not the real thing.

my budget for each monitor would be around £200 maximum. (could push if the monitor was worth it.)

Thanks for your help

Yeah that monitor looks great.

I preferably want 2 of the same monitor and don't think i can push my budget that far yet. (for the U2515H)

my main Issue with IPS is the Matte Cover they have on in picture they look dull but maybe thats just me.

I found a great monitor today in Pc world of all places. Samsung LS24D590 and it was IPS but with a light matte coat so the colours stood out more. i'm going to look into that a little.

If anyone has any further advice please fire away!
