Help me build a PC for Game Production please?

Hi fellow PC Experts. :)

First i want to say that i don't know much around choosing the parts for a PC as I've never owned a top spec one. my budget is around £1,000. it doesn't matter if you go over budget or under by around 10-15%. I'm a Game developer student at University and it's my first year so i'm mainly going to be using this PC for my work and designing things, I'm not going to use this to play games at all as I own a PS4 for playing games. It should be able to handle game engines like Unreal 4 and unity smoothly and programmes such as 3DS Max, Maya and Mudbox. Be able to render smoothly too and not like the first transformers movie where one frame took 36 hours to render haha.

I am going to keep this PC and upgrade it if i need to as long as i live so it will kind of need to be future proof around 5-10 years would be good.

Right now in one of the classrooms we use a HP Z230 16GB RAM and intel i7 with 1TB hard drive. so something similar to this would be good as it can handle anything and only takes around 8 seconds to render in 3ds max.

Also, One of my first big assignments is to create a playable level by next Spring in Unity or Unreal.

i also like the HP Monitor and Keyboard that the HPZ230 has. I have big hands and like matte type screens

Thanks for reading:D

Stick with the 550 because then you will have space for any future upgrades that may need to be done. You could downgrade to a 450 W PSU because 550 would probably be a waste of money on your PC and on your power bills. If you're going to upgrade there's an option on the PCS website and if you need a higher PSU then you can upgrade via there.
