Anybody have any insight on this? I'm looking to use this laptop for gaming and music production and want it to be as fututeproof as possible. Is there anything I'm maybe over or under doing? Im also wondering if an M2 drive would be worth it instead of the traditional SSD?

Price comes in at £1480, pretty steep.
Cheers.

Change the second drive, hybrids are not up to much with only a very small SSD cache and you already have an SSD. What are the intended uses.

The second drive will be for gaming data and general storage whereas the SSD will be for music files where speed is a must for me. I expect to eventually have some overflow however so was looking for a fast second hard drive for when it comes to that (ideally a larger or second SSD would do the trick but I'm already stretching my budget). Do you know anything about the performance difference between the SSHD and the 7200rpm HDD?

Exactly no but the 7200rpm will be faster, the hybrid has only a 5400rpm HDD.

I would second this, the SSHD's are crappy, especially when used as a secondary drive as the SSD cache is bypassed so you're just left with a slow 5400rpm drive. Avoid if possible, scorpio black would be much better.

Cheers for the info guys. I think I'm gonna just go for a 500gb Samsung EVO 8 and if I fill it up I can get another at the time.
