AC has about 3 times the max transfer rate and has a slightly stronger signal strength than N. So buy it if:
- You have a big house with bad wifi coverage
- You are trying to stream large quantities of data over your home network
- You want to be prepared for the future when we all have 1.3gb/s internet.

Else N will do just fine.

Thanks a lot for your reply. So basically AC is better. I just realised that the page says 'AC' for the both options even the prices are different. Probably some kind of error.

Sure, thank you very much. But will it still work with non-AC routers (at cafes for example), or will not work at all?

Wifi devs are cool guys. All wifi standards are compatible with all older wifi standards. Your brand new shiny AC card will always work with any router, even if you hook it up to a 802.11a router that's held together with spit and twigs.
