Fairly stupid question about the i7 7700k and overclocking

I take it I would still need to go through the usual procedures to overclock the i7 7700k and it is not going to start overclocking/overheating when I first start to use it, right? :taz:

If you buy a pre-overclocked system, PC Specialist will have applied the OC and done stability testing before shipping it to you. As for overheating, that depends on your cooling, and what you ask the PC to do - there have been some reports that running Prime95 is producing abnormally high temps on Kaby Lake (even though other torture tests like AIDA do not). But in general use including gaming and even CPU-intensive tasks like video rendering it seems to be alright with decent cooling.

Obviously you'll want to test your PC when you get it to make sure it works fine, PCS have done their job, and it hasn't been damaged in transit, just as you would with any PC or expensive item purchased online :)
