Optimus Series: 15.6" Matte 4K IPS LED [Review]

The use I want to give this laptop is as a second workstation.
I am a programmer and I use heavy software that needs a good processor, enough RAM besides a good keyboard to write comfortable and of course a good screen that allows me to work for hours without getting tired.

[h=1]Screen[/h]The screen of this monitor is 4K, maybe I would have sufficed a 1080 screen and saved me a few euros, but I'm quite happy, the color fidelity is acceptable and its brightness indoors is enough for me.

[h=1]Performance[/h]I'm happy with the performance given by the i5, I do not need an i7 to work since I will not do video editing or similar things on this laptop.
The 1050Ti GPU is enough to play some games that I have installed on this machine like League of Legends or Binding of Isaac, I can play at full resolution without any FPS drop as long as I keep it connected to the AC.
[h=1]Battery[/h]Maybe the weakest point of this laptop.
It only lasts a couple of hours writing in Word with the brightness at max.
In addition, it has an annoying throttling and it makes cut the power of the processor by half making it impossible to use games only using the battery.
[h=1]Keyboard[/h]It has been a pleasant surprise.
I did not expect such a good keyboard, maybe it's just my impression, but it's a great keyboard to type for hours without tiring, the touch is excellent in addition to the always useful backlight.
[h=1]Trackpad[/h]Once the driver is installed, it is a trackpad with a nice touch and good precision.
It is imperative to install the driver since if is not installed the trackpad is erratic and inaccurate to desperation.
[h=1]Connections[/h]Enough USB for me, its layout is correct.
I especially like the USB-C as I can charge my mobile at any time.
A very useful HDMI and DisplayPort, in any case. Correct in this regard

[h=1]Building[/h]It's a "Battle" laptop.
It's not nice, it's all plastic, but it's impresive wherever I show it.
I did not want a beautiful laptop so i like it as it is. I especially like that it does not show any brand or logo. Probably fill it with geek stickers 😊.
[h=1]Refrigeration[/h]Once i configured the cooling curve is a very well cooled notebook although somewhat noisy in some moments of workload.
[h=1]Summary[/h]It is a pretty decent laptop, although it is true that its value for money is not the best.
I could have saved myself money if I had chosen a 1080p screen and a single battery instead of two. Even so, I am happy with the purchase.

El uso que le quiero dar a este portátil es como segunda estación de trabajo.
Soy programador y utilizo software pesado que necesita un buen procesador, suficiente RAM además de un buen teclado para escribir cómodo y por supuesto una buena pantalla que me permita trabajar durante horas sin cansarme.

[h=1]Pantalla[/h]La pantalla de este monitor es 4K, quizás me hubiera bastado con una pantalla 1080 y haberme ahorrado unos euros, pero estoy bastante contento, la fidelidad de color es aceptable y su brillo en interiores es suficiente para mí.


[h=1]Potencia[/h]En cuanto al procesador, estoy contento con la respuesta que da el i5, no necesito un i7 para trabajar ya que no voy a hacer edición de video ni cosas similares en este portátil.
La GPU 1050Ti es suficiente para jugar a algunos juegos que tengo instalados en esta máquina como League of Legends y Binding of Isaac, puedo jugar a máxima resolución sin ninguna bajada de FPS siempre y cuando lo mantenga conectado a la corriente.
[h=1]Batería[/h]Quizás el punto más flaco de este portátil.
Apenas dura un par de horas escribiendo en Word con el brillo al máximo.
Además, tiene un molesto throttling que al estar sin sin conectarse a la fuente de alimentación baje la potencia del procesador a la mitad haciendo imposible el uso de juegos solo usando la batería.
[h=1]Teclado[/h]Ha sido una grata sorpresa.
No esperaba un teclado tan bueno, quizás sea solo mi impresión, pero es un teclado fantástico para teclear durante horas sin cansarse, el tacto y el recorrido son excelentes además de la siempre útil retroiluminación.
[h=1]Trackpad[/h]Una vez instalado el driver, es un trackpad con un tacto agradable y buena precisión.
Es imprescindible instalar el driver ya que si no el trackpad es errático y poco preciso hasta la desesperación.
[h=1]Conexiones[/h]Suficientes USB para mi, su disposición es correcta.
Me gusta especialmente el USB-C ya que puedo cargar mi móvil en cualquier momento.
Un HDMI y un DisplayPort muy útiles, en cualquier caso. Correcto en este aspecto

[h=1]Construcción[/h]Es un portátil “De batalla”.
No es bonito, es todo plástico, pero es imponente allá donde lo muestro.
No quería un portátil de diseño por lo tanto a mí me vale tal y como es. Me gusta especialmente que no muestra ninguna marca ni ningún logotipo. Probablemente lo llene de pegatinas.

[h=1]Refrigeración[/h]Una vez configurada la curva de ventilación es un portátil muy bien refrigerado aunque algo ruidoso en algunos momentos de carga de trabajo.

[h=1]Resumen[/h]Es un portátil bastante decente, si bien es cierto que su relación calidad precio no es la mejor.
Podía haberme ahorrado dinero si hubiera escogido una pantalla 1080p y una sola batería en lugar de dos. Aun así, estoy contento con la compra.
