New laptop review: Ultranote 14"

I put together a slightly funky spec, trying for the best combination of speed, reliability, weight and so on. So far, a couple of weeks in, I am extremely happy with the laptop that PC Specialist put together for me. Everything is working well, the machine was built and delivered in about 9 days and there has been no problems with it. Just a couple of minor quibbles: the keyboard feels a bit cheap and the space bar isn't as reliable as it should be (lots of going back and correcting); the fans is quite loud when it fires up (as per other posts on the forum); and the computer has a tendency to freeze for a couple of seconds, although this is probably a Windows 10 problem.

Overall: very happy, would definitely recommend.

I would give PCS a call about the space bar - that's something that'll only get worse with time in my experience and shouldn't exist as a problem.

Freezing...is it by any chance Creator's Edition of Windows 10 that's gone on? I have had the same issue since I upgraded but it seems to have calmed down some recently after the last round of updates from MS went on.

I've had the same spec/model as you delivered four weeks ago and have silent fans unless under heavy load and no freezing. Maybe something that can be fixed?
