Desktop for Video Editing - advice please

Hi folks - I need to buy a desktop PC dedicated (mainly) to video editing.
I intend to use Premiere Pro. Also After Effects, Photoshop and Audition. The video will be 1080p 50fps max, and the the edit won't be effects-laden: occasional animated graphics, titles, transitions and some colour grading.

PC Specialist has a lot of happy customers so I'd like to buy here. But I'm not a computer tech so getting confused about the spec I need. Clicking on the 'Video Editing PCs' under the 'Professional Desktop PCs', on the homepage gives me a range of options, from £410 to £1170. Great! But going down another route - configuring a video editing workstation for Adobe CC - throws up three options, the cheapest being £3490. Not great!

So can someone please assure me that the budget options will also work with Adobe CC, please?

Reading the spec on Adobe's site, I realize that I need to increase RAM to 16GB. What about the graphics card? Do I definitely need an NVIDIA card, as these have 'CUDA' which, apparently, is a good thing?

Any guidance (in words of one syllable, or fewer) would be very much appreciated.

Thanks

What's your budget?

The expensive workstation ones you'd have seen probably have Xeon processors and Quadro GPUs which probably aren't the right answer for many video editors.

Many big youtubers / content creators will use consumer and enthusiast CPUs (Intel X99 platform or AMD Ryzen) and GPUs (e.g. Geforce / GTX cards) rather than "workstation" CPUs and GPUs like Xeons and Quadros. Indeed for a lot of things (not just gaming), consumer Geforce cards are faster than Quadros.

If you were looking more in the £1000 kind of area, something like:

YMMV depending on the video project being rendered ofc, but it gives you a decent idea.

My budget at a push is £700 the pc I've designed is £750 which I can afford (no steak for breakfast for a few weeks ect) I'd love to have what you designed just can't push my budget that far very nearly got myself a gtx1060 as it's an awesome GPU but I'll have to go with the gtx1050 which will get the job done and will make most games playable? I guess. As for an SSD I've already got an alright one which my dad is giving me from his now broken computer.

Thanks for going to the trouble of configuring this, for me. Much appreciated. Around 1K is my budget so this is just about spot on.
I need to add a Firewire port. I wonder if the connectors are the older, 400 type, or the newer 800. Not a biggy: I see there are cables that are 400 on one end and 800 on the other.
I also want to add 2GHz WiFi. I guess the £8 PCI board should do the job. Dumb question, but doesn't the Wifi signal get screened by the PC case?
If I go for the wifi option, will I lose my LAN socket, if I want to later go 'wired'?
Thanks again...

@ Jaybeattie21 - when you replied I mistook you for the OP. You already made another topic: https://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?54509-Ryzen-Build-for-editing which I replied to so you might want to stick to that topic to avoid silly people like me getting confused. I'm sure people will still post any comments they have in your own topic, and it will help make sure the advice is directly focused on your spec, needs, and budget :)

I have no idea I'm afraid. I guess PCS could answer it if you called them.

I'd suggest the AC1200 card if you can stretch to it as it has faster 2.4GHz speeds and also has 5GHz as an option. Even if your router is ancient and doesn't have 5GHz, you may well replace it with one that does before the end of your PC's lifespan.

It wouldn't really get screened by the case - it can go through walls and floors. Walls, floors, distance, etc will affect the signal but unless you're on the 3rd floor of your home and the router is on the ground floor or something you'll probably be fine. If wifi turns out to be disappointing there's always powerline / homeplug adapters.

If I go for the wifi option, will I lose my LAN socket, if I want to later go 'wired'?
No, the motherboard will still have its Ethernet socket and it will still be usable.
