Wifi - very low bit rate

I have a Vanguard 21.5-inch All-in-one (ASUS H110/i3-6100/1TB/8G etc), bought earlier this year.
I've noticed that the wifi bit rate is extremely low - no better than 2Mbps (download) for the last few days at least.
Other PCs connected by wifi to my router manage 30 Mbps, as expected, including a laptop sitting on the same desk as the All-in-One.
(They were not powered at the same time to avoid any interference). The PC is located upstairs with a wireless router downstairs.
I'm using http://www.thinkbroadband.com/speedtest.
The wifi adapter is Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 8265 with factory settings. Device status is 'working properly'.
Any suggestions? (apart from trying a cable!) Is there a setting I can play with?

If you have them fitted then check the driver - especially if it's an Intel card. I've had lots of issues with mine until the most recent driver version.
