hey guys, ordered my girlfriend a laptop so that she can play sims 3 etc while im on my pc but its being really slow and the game is stopping every 5 seconds. Ive been trying to see if the turbo boost for the cpu is kicking in but I've no way of checking.

Tried installing the turbo boost monitor but apparently the ITBM driver is missing, and when i try and go through to boot up menu theres no option to access the bios...at all.
Any help and guidance would be much appreciated pic below of full spec. Screenshot (1).png

You can monitor CPU frequency overlaid onto a game with something like MSI Afterburner (which works with anything, not just MSI products).

It's possible the game is trying to run off the integrated graphics. You can try
- setting the laptop overall power plan to high performance mode:

- setting the GPU's power settings to prefer maximum performance

- and set the Nvidia GPU to be the preferred graphics processor:

You can also use MSI afterburner to monitor GPU and GPU frequencies, and temperatures as well.

You may also want to make sure that you're not running too many unnecessary programs in the background to rule out that they are having an impact: https://eu.battle.net/support/en/article/23848
