FO4 seems to benefit particularly from having an i7, especially with minimum FPS, making for smoother gameplay. The 1060 should be able to run many modern demanding games anywhere from high-ultra.

Note that some games will periodically drop below 60fps almost no matter what you do.

Define easily upgradable.

The GPU would be upgradable, and the case and PSU should support a range of future options. You can always go for the 550W PSU for ~£5 more if you want a bit more headroom. Adding an SSD, dvd drive, HDD, etc should all be fine, depending how many you want to add.

The motherboard doesn't have an M.2 slots. It also has only 2 DIMMs for the RAM, so if you want to upgrade to 16gb you certainly can do but it will involve replacing what's there rather than adding more RAM.

The CPU's upgradability depends on whether future Intel CPUs work with -100 and -200 series motherboards. It's looking like they won't. However, there's not much you can do about that.

Please Help!

I don't think this is what this thread is for but I need help designing a Gaming PC and if someone could make me a spec it would be much appreciated! PC spec must include Monitor, keyboard, mouse and mouse mat, be around £1000 and be able to run a heavily modded fallout, GTA and CS etc on decent graphics settings at a comfortable 60 fps. if someone could do this you would be my hero:).

Ive moved your post, best to stick to one thread so people can see what’s already been covered.

Was there anything wrong with the above build? Edit! Just saw how old this is, apologies.

At this point it may be worth holding off as there are new graphics cards due in about 10days.

I'm confused, when I use your build link, it takes me to an I5 PC at £865 - are you sure that's the right link, or am I doing something wrong?

*edit* Just seen Spyder's edit, must be an old link!

Yes, the topic is originally from August 2017.

As above, I would suggest that the OP waits for the new graphics cards. If you've waited a year, you might as well wait a few more weeks rather than buying a GPU from a family that's over 2 years old. :)
