AMD vs Intel

Does anyone know how well AMD chips work with 3ds Max compared to an intel chip? are there quality differences?

I am trying to determine what would be better between these two. (Ignoring the price difference)


AMD Ryzen Threadripper 1950X 16 Core CPU (3.4GHz, 40MB CACHE, sTR4)

vs

Intel 12 Core/24 thread i9 7920X Skylake-X

I can't find any suitable benchmarks using 3ds max and those chips sadly, you can compare their performance doing other tasks which could help the decision.

Which according to early/leaked benchmarks seems to offer more multithreaded performance than Threadripper.

Of the two above I'd have probably gone with threadripper for rendering as I don't think Intels IPC advantage and any boost to frequency closes the gap from 12 to 16 cores:

But as Steaky says there don't seem to be any direct benchmarks.
