I hope this is the right place to comment!
Can any one please advise, I'm looking to buy and build a pc for my 14 year old son. He currently plays on Gmod and would like a pc that's compatable for Arma 3, PUBG but also future proofing for any new games in future. He would like to play these games at medium Grafix or higher?
He uses a 3D tv as his pc monitor currently which is a few year old tv is Blaupunkt? This is hd, would this also be compatible for new tower or should I purchase a new monitor also? Tv is 32 inch
Any help or advice on this would be fantastic as I am not technical minded.
Thank you

What resolution is the TV? If you don't know, what model is it exactly? (model number is probably written on the back and probably begins with a B).

I ask as if it's "HD" or "HD Ready" rather than "Full HD" (aka FHD /1080p / 1920 x 1080) then you would really want a new monitor. A new monitor and decent system should be easily doable for the budget range you've outlined.

Model number

Hi thank you very much for your response and help!
I have found a few numbers, so thought I would just list them all.

Model No: 32/131G-GB-1B-3TCU-UK
Product Code: BA32X131B3TCUG601

I hope one of these is the correct number, thanks for your help!

That's helpful, thanks.

Googling the model number, the the resolution appears to be 1366 x 768. For a gaming system worth upto £1800, one would expect at least 1920x1080 (1080p) or 2560x1440 (1440p).

Note - you might want to edit your post to remove the Serial Number as that's unique to your personal TV set :)

With your budget you have a lot of choices, but maybe something like:

The i7 8700k + 16gb fast DDR4 should be a pretty futureproof gaming platform.
The monitor is 1080p but has a 144hz refresh rate, which can make the gameplay experience feel smoother and more responsive - and is quite popular with competitive shooter games for that reason.
The GTX 1070 should pair well with the monitor, and help push higher FPS. It would be capable of playing most modern demanding titles on ultra settings.
The SSD should help making the PC load Windows and programs/games installed on it load fast.

What mouse and keyboard should you recommend to go with this set up? Also will this come built if I follow the link to purchase?

PC Specialist build and test all systems before sending them.

If you order Windows, they will install Windows and all appropriate drivers before sending the PC to you.

As for the keyboard and mouse, the £29 "Devastator III Combo Keyboard and Mouse" is probably what I'd suggest. They're decent but relatively cheap, and should be a good starting point.
