New After Effects PC Spec

Hi everyone,

So im thinking of making the jump from mac pro to a custom PC. Have looked around and researched a bit and settled on this spec, but wanted to get anyone else's thoughts on it. I work in Video production and specifically most of my time is taken up rendering in After Effects.

A 1TB PM961 might make more sense. I'm not sure what real value you'll get for AE from raid SSDs?

If looking for a quiet build you could swap to the Noctua cooler which is generously more than enough, and spend what you save on the RM850x PSU, which is quieter (often literally silent, being semi-passive).
