Monitor Driver

Purchased new Dell S2417DG monitor to go with my new PCS system that will be delivered tomorrow 16th Feb.

It has a Drivers and Documentation disc with:

1 Device Drivers
2 Quick Setup Guide
3 User's Guide

But in none of the quick setup guide or user's guide does it mention the Device drivers at all, do I need to install them or will my new pc know what monitor has been plugged into it.

Any help would be most appreciated.

You generally don't need monitor drivers.

You might find that the supplied drivers give you PC control of some of the monitor features, but as Oussebon says, you shouldn't need the supplied drivers to make the monitor work. Read the documentation for the monitor to see what it says about the driver...
