I've had my Defiance series laptop for almost two months, and ever since it's arrival I've not been able to adjust the brightness of the screen. At first, when I pressed the hot-keys, a graphic would display indicating that the setting for the brightness was changing, corresponding to what I was pressing, but the brightness wouldn't change. Likewise, If I went to Control Panel or Settings in Windows 10, and adjust the slider there, nothing would change.
I raised a ticket, and they told me that it was a "software issue" and that I would have to wait. Since then, the tech guys here sent a link to an update for the Clevo software, but the only thing that changed was that the hot-keys for the brightness now don't even display the graphic anymore.
So my questions are: Has everyone one whose purchased a laptop from PC Specialist having the same issue? If it's a "Software Issue" then why do the native Windows 10 settings also not do anything to change the brightness? Has anyone found a solution to this? If I want to be able to control the brightness on my laptop, shall I just give up, get a refund and buy a new one somewhere else?
