Sorry if this isn't allowed on the forums but I just have a quick question about steam family share.

Is the same as ps4/xbox where If I buy a game on steam on my account he can also play it on his account?

thank you

They can play the game as long as you're not playing a steam game I believe.

Some games don't work with family sharing, for instance games that also have another 3rd party DRM. Some ubisoft titles requiring uPlay as well as steam for instance.

See the FAQs here: http://store.steampowered.com/promotion/familysharing

e.g.
Can all Steam games be shared with friends and family?
No, due to technical limitations, some Steam games may be unavailable for sharing. For example, titles that require an additional third-party key, account, or subscription in order to play cannot be shared between accounts.

Can two users share a library and both play at the same time?
No, a shared library may only be accessed by one user at a time.

When I authorize a device to lend my library to others, do I limit my own ability to access and play my games?
As the account holder, you may always access and play your games at any time. If you decide to start playing when another user is already playing one of your games, he/she will be given a few minutes to either purchase the game or quit playing.

Note there is also Steam Family View, which you can use to restrict certain features of your account behind a 4-digit PIN. For instance if you had a kid and you wanted to share your steam account with them, you could restrict them from being able to access the steam store without entering the PIN, even if your steam username and password were saved to allow automatic log in:

There is also in-home streaming, where you can log into Steam on 2 or more devices at once, and play games installed on one of your devices on the other one, even if the game is not installed.

I don't have Xbox or PS4 accounts to compare, but hope that goes some way to answering the question? :)
