Hi

I am looking for some specialist help. I have ran out of options.

I built two AMD gaming machines for a family member and a friend, but over the last two years they've randomly locked up, or restarted, seemingly randomly playing games or just browsing the internet. I've tried everything software related (latest driver updates etc) and reset bios to defaults. PSU is powerful enough, see specs below;

PC1; (freeze, mouse locks up, cant do anything, including ctrlaltdel)

MSI 970 Gaming AM3 Mobo
Corsair Builder Series CXM 600W Modular 80 PLUS Bronze
Corsair CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9 Vengeance 8GB DDR3
AMD FX8320 Black Edition 8 Core (3.5/4.0GHz, 8MB Level 3 Cache, 8MB Level 2 Cache, Socket AM3+
Cooler Master RR-212E-16PK-R1 Hyper 212 Evo
NVIDIA GTX 960
Sandisk SSD 500GB

PC2; (switches completely off, no blue screen. Like its been switched off at the wall.)

Gigabyte SKT-AM3 78LMT-USB3
Corsair CP-9020097 550W 80 Plus
HyperX FURY 8GB DDR3
AMD FX8320 Black Edition 8 Core (3.5/4.0GHz, 8MB Level 3 Cache, 8MB Level 2 Cache, Socket AM3+
Gigabtye NVIDIA GTX 1050
Sandisk SSD 500GB

Would anyone have some advice for a situation like this? It's hard to determine the common denominator when both PC's are so similar, but im guessing at has to be a hardware combination issue.

Many Thanks

These forums are for PC Specialist specific custom machines that they build and sell and we can't really give too much advice on self-builds.

You might be better off trying somewhere like Toms Hardware.

Mods...I see you banned the spammer but their post still has an active URL - might be an idea to delete the post/remove the URL?
