Seems fine - the 450W PSU is fine for the spec but 550W might give you more freedom for future GPU upgrades.

Yeah I looked at that, mixed reviews. Some reports of ghosting issues.

The IIYAMA 144hz (GB2488HSU-B3) is the other option. Not sure which is best. Settled in the cheaper m2 as I don't think I need the Samsung speeds for gaming.

Reviews I'd seen were pretty positive, and nobody I'd recommended it to on these forums then posted back to say they'd had to return it or anything of the sort.

You won't be able to find any widely-reviewed monitor that doesn't have some reports of issues, ad eventually someone is going to get one that slipped through QC. Some of the most expensive and the best known high end gaming monitors (1440p, 144hz, gsync) only get 4* from customer reviews of Amazon because there are always going to be bad units.

You can always buy from a store with a very open returns policy. That way if yours has an issue that doesn't quite constitute a fault but it still something you're unhappy with you can return it anyway.

Also still toying with changing to the i7, it's £100 more. I do stream, though I currently use shadowplay (GPU based) as I don't have donations, overlays and all the other stuff to require OBS usage (CPU based).

That's up to you. If you're not going to miss the extra ~£10 over the lifespan of the PC you can get it.

An alternative to the i7 would be to go for an AMD system with an R5 2600x. Not too far off the i5 for gaming performance, and has similar multithreaded performance to the i7, making it a good option for streaming. But the price is similar to an i5.

While the Titan cooler is probably fine for an i7, I would probably go for one of the 120mm fan tower coolers like the Frostflow 100 or Cm212x.

Yeah I'd added the PCS one into my quote, as long as that's enough for the 8700.

Another thing I haven't really looked into is the board. Is the base board good enough?

Any Z370 motherboard is also fairly expensive, so just because it's the least expensive of the Z370's doesn't necessarily mean you're buying bargain basement stuff

THere will be no difference in gaming performance between any of them. The motherboard just doesn't matter for performance. It's more about what features you want.

If USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type A is attractive then the TUF is a good choice. If you want Type C then the Ultra Gaming. There's not much point going beyond the Ultra Gaming.

And USB 3.1 Gen 2 is broadly irrelevant for gaming uses anyway.
