No RGB on Fans Lighting with Corsair H100i v2

Hi Guys,

I received a new PC built by PC Specialist with the Corsair H100i v2 installed. However the RGB lighting on the fans do not seem to be working. I have downloaded Corsair Link and I am able to change the RGB lighting of the area (corsair logo) where the cooler is directly connected to the CPU but for some reason the fans have no colour what so ever. Has anyone else experienced this issue and if so how can I fix it?

Thanks for your help.

Oh really? That is a shame, I guess I would need to replace the fans with their RGB equivalent.

Would you happen to know how to control the lighting on the heatsink and the 3 RGB fans at the front of my Crystal Series™ 460X RGB using Corsair Link or iCUE? When I start the program only the H100i appears in the list and not the fans at the front.

Thanks for your help.

That one does. But not all H100i V2s do. In fact, this is the first I've actually heard of the H100i V2 coming with RGB fans by default.

Most H100i V2s will have SP120L fans I believe, which are not RGB. e.g. https://www.computerbase.de/2016-06/corsair-h100i-v2-test/2/

I had a quick look on some other retailers and the non-RGB-fan H100i V2 is still being sold widely.

Edit: too slow

If you want some RGB fans, I’d highly recommend the Corsair ML series, I just picked up 3 and they are superb both for airflow and visuals, all controlled within the Corsair link app.

Thanks for your suggestions. I had a look again at what PC Specialist offer and it doesn't seem to mention anything about RGB lighting on the fans themselves.
https://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/form...,'pc');&select_item=select_item('8661','83');

However, would you happen to know how I can control all of the lighting in the system together? Unfortunately only the H100i appears in the Corsair Link application and not the three 3 RGB Corsair fans at the front of the case.

Thanks again

I'm not 100% on this but I think you'd need a separate controller like the Corsair Commander Pro to control the fans' RGB via Corsair link. The RGB fans will currently connect to a box/hub for upto 6 RGB LED devices, but this isn't software controlled, it's controlled by the panel on top of the case (or the one inside the case (though the top panel is easier) and I don't think it has a USB connection for Corsair Link use.

Thanks Oussebon, I figured it out and the lights are controlled by the buttons on the top of the case. Although the included manual is not clear on what button does what. Thanks again

That's correct, there's an ML Pro 3 pack of fans that come with a box to add control for up to 12 fans.
