Hi - A new PC specialist customer here and have recently purchased 4 x Enigma 14 inch laptops. My issue is around connecting these laptops to external display monitors. I'm on my third USC C hub at this point and none seem to be working to connect my laptop to a monitor. Anyone else had a similar issue? Can anyone recommend a USC C hub that has worked for them?

Thanks in advance

USB C doesn't carry video unless it's specified as a Thunderbolt enabled port (which these aren't). They're just normal USB

You have to connect via the HDMI port.

Sorry if this is a stupid question but I ended up today having to borrow a friends USB C Hub as we were going into a meeting (Dell brand) and that worked in hooking up my laptop to the screen in the meeting room (via HDMI into the USB C Hub). However the Dell USC C hubs are ridiculously expensive. I guess my question is, is this the only option - shell out for a Dell one? Cheers

I think I'm getting myself confused.

There's a StarTech Hub that we use at work as an alternative to the Dell ones which works very well:

It only gets 3.7 stars on the StarTech website, but you'll notice the 1 star review is from someone who thought it was Mac compatible which there is nowhere that suggests it is:

That is hugely expensive!

I like Startech stuff but their prices are off the chart for most things.

There's an alternative one here on Amazon - https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0756Q94HV - that says it works with Dell and more...It's a complete guess based on it stating that it works with Dell that it may work with your PCS but at least with Amazon it's easily returned if not.
