New PC

Hi after several years on laptops I am ready to get back on desktop. I really could use some help.

Normal home use plus some photoshop, illustrator and lightroom (hobbyist) plus some oldish games (starcraft 1 and 2, Diablo 2 and 3, Warhammer Dawn of war)

Screen around 24", box rather small and quiet (no water cooling). My budget around £500.

Any advice apprecieted

The BSOD Doctor
I'm not the expert on these kinds of build, but this is pretty much the cheapest PC that PCS will do with the cheapest (21.5") monitor. It will cope with your hobbyist workloads but I have my doubts about the gaming aspect because you can't afford a graphics card beyond the intergrated on-board GPU.

£500 just won't achieve anything worth buying. You could consider 2nd hand options. Any PC that is advertised as a "gaming pc" for £500 including a monitor is going to have major limitations and almost certainly will be a waste of money in the long run
