Where to sell custom Defiance Series laptop?

Hi Guys

So I bought a custom built laptop from PC Specialist in December 2016 that I'm looking to get rid of. It's in nearly perfect condition and is still pretty high spec. I listed it on eBay but don't seem to get anywhere near my reserve price and have now listed it three times. The highest the bids have gone up to is £800 which I think is a bit unreasonable for the spec (see below). Could you guys let me know if there is anywhere I can sell a laptop like this and roughly what price I should be looking for. Thanks

The fact it's not under warranty any more and a year and a half + old may make people reluctant to pay anywhere near what you'd see the same kind of hardware selling for new.

Not many people will be all that bothered about it having more than 16gb RAM. So you could try selling off one or two of the sticks separately and see whether you still get an ~£800 offer for the system. I've no experience selling 2nd hand systems though.

Think of it like selling custom tailored clothing. It was a little more expensive (and better) in the first place because it was designed for your needs, rather than off-the-peg.

Now, though, it is second hand - and second hand tailored clothing doesn't get a higher price than off-the-peg (unless you get lucky and find a buyer exactly your size!).

In fact, because you can't point to a particular brand and model, only enthusiasts will even know it is great value - and they are both rare and more likely to want to design their own, just like you did.

Plus, the more likely they are to appreciate your well chosen components, the more 'fashion-conscious' they are - and this is several seasons old...
