15.6" Defiance Finished?

Just popped back onto the site today to have a look for a new laptop. Mine will be going to a new collegue and i get to buy a new one \o/.

I've had a defiance with a 970M for a couple of years and it's been great so was particularly interested in seeing what new specs were available for it. But i seems to have gone from the website, could have sworn it was still there a month or so ago.. Has it been replaced by the Vyper or Recoil II?

One of the best things about the defiance that set it appart for me from most other laptops is the decent Onkyo speakers. It seems both the Vype and Recoil II only have std 2W speakers. I'm not a big fan of sitting with headsets on and I use the laptop when travelling for music/TV in hotels so at least half decent inbuilt speakers are a big +factor.

Anyone know if the defiance is just going through an update or is it RIP?

Nobody here will know, best ask PCS directly.

Also bear in mind that Defiance is a PCS branding, but will be based on a new generation of Clevo chassis. Make sure you check the new chassis has the speakers you like.
