If you can stretch is to ~£750 I would strongly suggest the Vyper with a GTX 1050 ti. This is about 35% more powerful:

The GTX 1050 is pretty entry-level and you'll find it running out of horsepower a good deal sooner than the 1050 ti - so the vyper with the better GPU even at the cost of the SSD seems like a better investment.

I tend to play older games that are a bit less graphically intensive, would the 1050ti still give me an edge over using an m.2 SSD for the operating system? Also would the ssd be a lot stronger for general use rather than having the more powerful graphics card?

Yes, the ssd is better than the geaphics card for general use BUT, in a laptop you are stuck with the graphics card you start with, while the ssd could be an upgrade later on. If finances are tight now but you might be able to add to it later, then probably best to get a decent graphics card as priority.

As above.

While the 1050 may be alright now, eventually you'll want the extra horsepower as newer games become the older games you play on the laptop :) The 1050 it is significantly more powerful and should meaningfully delay you having to purchase a new system in the future.

That SSD is also very small and slow by SSD standards, but if you decide you want it in the future you'd only need to save another £32 for it (going by the current price).

Is there a faster ssd that you would recommend, as I may wait a couple of months to stretch my budget to ~£750, then a better ssd may also be in my price range.

The SX6000 SSD from the M.2 SSD menu is faster than most Sata SSDs and no more expensive, so is a good value choice.

The performance-end choices for SSDs would be the Samsung 970 Evo, or the cheaper WD Black (as long as it's 2nd gen WD Black, which the current ones are)

Thanks, for all th help guys, I think I’m gonna wait a couple of months to stretch my budget to include both the 1050ti and an m.2 ssd :)
