Just Ordered PC

Hi, I just ordered a new PC. My current one is 3 years old which I bought from here. It has lasted me a good while and I would rate the service 10/10, however I'm looking for big performance gains. I currently have an I5 4590 which is letting me down in demanding games with stuttering etc, and it's currently paired with an msi 1070 twin frozr, which to be honest the i5 is bottlenecking the gpu. Here are the specs of the new PC What do you guys think? I want it to last a good 5 years, with a possible gpu upgrade in years to come! I could also add an extra 16gb ram in the future.

Looks good to me, though I'm a little confused by your storage options - two fairly small SSDs?

I'm guessing that you have some storage from your previous build that you plan on fitting in but, if not, I'd suggest getting a SSD from the M.2 NVMe menu - the options there can be much faster than you have here and if your order is still in pre-production, you should be able to switch to one instead. Given your CPU and cooler, you could also pick the same build from the overclocked menu for a few extra £s. The overclock isn't massive (up to 4.8GHz for the I-8700k), but it is covered by warranty: https://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/computers/intel-z370-overclocked/

For gaming you won't have to.

Be aware that Intel are expected to launch their 9th Gen CPUs in October, which will have higher frequencies and more cores.

If desperate to buy now, go for the pre-OCed spec as above. If not all that desperate, waiting to October seems to make a lot more sense.

As above, the SSD storage choice is weird and probably not at all optimal in terms of using space efficiently, use of Sata ports (mobo only has 4), etc. Would probably make more sense to just get a single 1TB drive outright. Or a 500gb SSD and HDD for mass storage.
