New Gaming PC

Hi Guys,

Just putting together a nice new PC, having a lot of crashes and BSOD's with my current one and have tried everything to fix it and have now decided it's time to move on.

My budget is around £1400 and I've chosen a custom spec below. Thoughts?

Given the great processor and good motherboard I'd recommend paying the £9 extra for better thermal paste, you'll want to overclock that bad boy.

Fot not much more I'd recommend upgrading the memory to at least 3000MHz as well, it'll get more out of the processor. Also a good M2 drive doesn't cos much more and will be loads faster. Maybe something like this overall?

Looks a good build but there may be a future saving for you. Not sure if you intend to get an Office subscription after the trial runs out but there is always this: https://www.libreoffice.org/ very good free office software or Open Office, plus Avast is a decent free anti virus.

I wouldn't really recommend a liquid cooler at this budget range for a non-OCed system

I'd suggest holding off until 20th Aug when the new Nvidia GPUs are going to be announced. You should be able to fit something a lot better than a GTX 1060 into a £1400 build tbh.
