Hi

I bought the pc specialist all in one pc three years ago -cmstorm
Windows 10 64bit
Geforce gtx 970 398.82

Has worked brilliantly. Always up to drivers. I use the dp connection to the predator z35 monitor.

This week I play wow and every so often I get black screen - no signal.

I have to do a reboot and get the display driver message. Sometimes I can play for a few hours and it is fine.

Getting really frustrated!

I have only installed the latest windows updates and graphics drivers etc

Any ideas please! Really getting me down. Thank you!

I think I may have the same problem. On restart, there is a link with my 2nd PC (the login screen flashes up briefly) but mostly the 2nd screen, regardless of display settings for multiple screens, is blank. PITA, as I have work to do and need the big screen :-(

I'll try reloading the Nvidea drivers when I get back from a conf.....

I do have outstanding Windows updates. The Malicious Software Removal tool is installing and 2018-08 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1803 for x64-based Systems (KB4343909) is pending insrall. Perhaps that last will fix it

Was one of these updates an upgrade to the latest version of Windows (1803)? From what you said later it seems that it was.

For most people upgrading to a new version of Windows in-place works fine, but for many others it causes all sorts of niggly problems and this may be the cause of your problem. If using DDU to remove old drivers and installing the latest Nvidia driver doesn't fix this issue then I would strongly advise that you download a new copy of the Windows installation media by using the Media Creation Tool here.

Run the tool and use it to download Windows 10 and then write it to a USB stick or DVD drive (your choice). Then boot that media and install Windows cleanly.
