Connecting second screen with HDMI - Out of range change mode to 1920x1080 - 60HZ

Hi,

I've been connectign my monitor as my second display on my laptop for over 6 months with no problems until yesterday, i unplugged it from my mointor and pluagged it into my TV and it hasn't worked since, I'm greeted with the message "Out of range, change mode to 1920 x 1080 - 60Hz" which i have done and still I'm getting this message, i don't know what else to try? Do i need t buy a new HDMI lead?

Are you sure you changed the right screen settings?

I'd plug it back into your tv, and then make sure you set the correct display whilst it's connected to the TV.

From what little you say it sounds like you might have only changed the laptop display.
