New pc build around £1500

Hi im looking to do a custom build from Pc specialist. My budget is around £1500.

I will be using it to stream games on Facebook, eg Fortnite, call of duty black ops 4 when released and single player games. All different types of games really. Will be uploading videos to YouTube as well but not straight away. Also will be streaming from my Xbox or ps4 from it as well not sure if I need anything extra to do that.

What I need help with is that I don't really know much about computers. So i don't know what specs will be best for I want to do. I don't really want to pick the wrong things that I won't even need.

I already have a pc monitor which is BenQ ZOWIE XL2720 27in FHD 1ms Response, 144Hz, ESports Gaming Monitor. Will want a second monitor but that will be just for setting up the stream, no gaming on it.

Will need mouse, keyboard and headset.

Will be on for long periods of time so don't really want it to overheat or anything.

Any help will be much appreciated.

Kind regards

Phil

Good morning! Sounds like some interesting stuff you are getting into. As someone who is as new as you in the pc world, I would suggest going into the pcs configurator and putting together something you think would sound right. google through the names of parts and compare some as you choose. I would then suggest you post it in the the forum here and the guys are pretty helpful at going through things with you. they help with optimizing best performance for your buck. A rough idea of what you want with some specs out of the configurator would be awesome :) .

The above is interesting :)

I like the case choice, a budget monitor as the 2nd screen is a good call, and the peripheral bundle set is a good shout.

I would suggest a different spec building on that, however. While an i3 should be fine for handling the Elgato capture card for the console footage, it would be grossly inadequate for streaming games from PC.

Streaming games is asking the PC to encode video while also running a game, either of which can be among the most demanding things on the CPU many consumers might ask their PCs together, let alone both at once. An AMD Ryzen CPU's extra cores and threads make it much better suited to this. An R7 2700 has twice the cores and 4x the threads of the i3.

AMD's stock coolers are actually pretty decent too, certainly versus Intel's coolers...

AMD's B350 motherboards also offer a greater set of features versus Intel's H310s

For this budget range I would not recommend 3 year platinum warranty. The chances you'll get £135's of hardware failures during years 2-3 are pretty slim, and many of the components have their own warranties during this period directly with the manufacturers anyway. £135 is 9% of the budget - with a lot of the rest going on peripherals, the monitor, capture card, etc. Invest that into the hardware instead.

Summary of changes I'd suggest:
- Samsung 24" monitor is £4 more than the Asus and gives 24" screen which is a sweet spot for 1080p for productivity uses.
- AMD Ryzen CPU overwhelmingly better for streaming
- silver warranty only
- added SSD
- Ryzen build with 8-core/16 thread CPU
- faster RAM
- less expensive cooler.
- 550W PSU potentially giving more upgrade headroom
